The Golden State @Warriors are rolling out the red carpet at Chase Center for NBA All-Star weekend, happening Feb. 14-16! 🎉 It's the first time the Dubs have hosted since 2000, and this weekend will highlight the rich history of the Warriors, spanning both sides of the Bay.

  • As Andrew Jenkins, ’21 Political Science, ’23 MS Justice Studies, ’24 MS Interdisciplinary Studies, and Concussion Coach co-founder, states, “San José has a lot of knowledge and a lot of people who want to change the world, and at San José State, we preach and pride ourselves on being the pioneers of change.”

And he would know: as a co-founder of Concussion Coach, a wearable device roughly the size of a quarter that helps determine when football players may be at risk of concussion, he’s one of many Spartans who are helping shape the future.

Learn more about Concussion Coach and discover many other incredible patents, technologies and innovations coming out of SJSU in the latest #SJSUWSQ, and join us as we look forward to the next century of Spartans.

  • Join us TODAY at San Jose State for the Day of Remembrance of Executive Order 9066, which authorized the incarceration of more than 120,000 Japanese people in the United States during World War II. This will be SJSU's 3rd annual recognition of the day, which will bring together SJSU and local community leaders in reflection and provide opportunities for learning and discussion about the importance of remembering and sharing this history even today.

You can find the detailed schedule of sessions you can attend during this event on our main website, found in the Linktree in @capisesjsu's bio.

Did you know that even though Pluto may not officially be a full-fledged planet, it's still Sammy’s all-time favorite? (even though it's been downgraded to a dwarf planet/Kuiper belt object)💫🌌

Gotta support the underdog, right? 😎

    Hey, @neildegrassetyson what's your favorite planet? 🤔🌟

  • Big news! SJSU was just awarded an R2 designation by the Carnegie Foundation and American Council on Education (ACE), an important classification for universities across the United States based on research expenditures, activity and other factors.

This designation marks a significant achievement and recognition of SJSU’s commitment to research, innovation and boundary-pushing ideas; under the previous Carnegie classifications, SJSU was ranked as a non-research university.

SJSU, which began as a teacher training college in 1857, has made significant strides in its nearly 170-year history to become renowned for both its teaching and research activities.

“San José State has been active in research and has been doing wonderful, impactful research for a long time,” explains Marc d’Alarcao, interim vice president for Research and Innovation, interim president of the Board of Directors of the SJSU Research Foundation, and dean of the College of Graduate Studies. “This designation finally recognizes us for that great work.”
